ALEXANDRA LIDDY

Founder and Managing Director of Jahie Pty Ltd (previously Brand Trade Services Pty Ltd), Alexandra Liddy has many years of experience dealing with leading Australian and international retailers. These include the likes of David Jones, Myer, Target, Kmart, Big W, TJX Group, Selfridges, Amazon, John Lewis, Briscoes Homeware, HOME etc and many more.

Alexandra has an impeccable track record of recognising market opportunities and creating and developing brands and products in response, often being first to market in new categories.

In 1995, Alexandra’s initial venture, Liddy Corporation, was Australia’s first fashion-driven homewares company and set a new benchmark in contemporary Australian tabletop and lifestyle designs. The company’s success led to its acquisition by Housewares International in 2000. Alexandra remained with the organisation for several years, overseeing the development of several brands for their affiliated companies in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

It was during this period in the early 2000s that the Alex Liddy brand was launched into the Australian marketplace. Quickly establishing a reputation as ‘the brand to watch’, Alex Liddy designs creations won two Australian Design Awards and achieved broad distribution and widespread media exposure. The Alex Liddy brand is now sold through the House retail chain and was recently launched in the UK. 

In 2008, Alexandra Liddy established Liddy Design, which is now Jahie. The company has a talented team of designers, finance and sales support staff based in Sydney, and an extensive network in China that looks after administration, shipping, merchandising and quality control.

Jahie has two of its own brands, Ciroa and Miniamo, and designs and manufactures private label homeware lines for many leading international retailers.
